Hi, I’m Urmimala Datta—but most call me Urmi.

I am a traveller, storyteller, a dreamer, and above all, a woman deeply led by faith.

 

Vignette by Urmi was born from a quiet whisper—a calling to create a place where stories of grace, purpose, and restoration could live and breathe.

Raised in a Hindu home and transformed by the love of Jesus, my life has been anything but ordinary. Every chapter—filled with breakthroughs, and divine encounters—has shaped the mission placed on my heart: my purpose - a haven for children, elders, and even animals who need shelter, love, and belonging.

Through Vignette by Urmi, I share vignettes—small glimpses of a greater story—meant to inspire, uplift, and remind others that they are never forgotten. Whether it’s through writing, travelling,  mission work, or simply holding space for someone else’s truth, my purpose is to walk in obedience, led by the Shepherd, creating homes both physical and spiritual.
