Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi • Morning: Arrive in Hanoi and check into your hotel. Kick off your adventure with a traditional Vietnamese breakfast of pho. • Afternoon: Explore Hanoi’s Old Quarter, a maze of bustling streets filled with shops, cafes, and street vendors. Visit the Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. • Evening: Experience a traditional water puppet show, followed by dinner at one of Hanoi’s many street food stalls or a local restaurant for authentic Vietnamese dishes.
Day 2: Ha Long Bay Cruise • Morning: Depart from Hanoi early for Ha Long Bay (about a 4-hour drive). Upon arrival, board a traditional junk boat for an overnight cruise. • Afternoon: Cruise through Ha Long Bay, marveling at the stunning limestone formations. Stop at various caves and islets such as Sung Sot (Surprise Cave) and Ti Top Island. • Evening: Enjoy dinner on the boat while watching the sunset over the bay. Relax under the stars or participate in optional evening activities like squid fishing.
Day 3: Return to Hanoi & Flight to Da Nang/Hoi An • Morning: Enjoy a light breakfast on the boat while cruising back to shore. Disembark and return to Hanoi. • Afternoon: Catch a domestic flight from Hanoi to Da Nang. Upon arrival, take a 30-minute drive to Hoi An, the ancient town known for its lantern-lit streets and rich cultural heritage. • Evening: Explore Hoi An’s charming Old Town. Wander through its narrow streets, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, and shop for souvenirs in the night market. Dine at one of Hoi An’s riverside restaurants.
Day 3: Return to Hanoi & Flight to Da Nang/Hoi An • Morning: Enjoy a light breakfast on the boat while cruising back to shore. Disembark and return to Hanoi. • Afternoon: Catch a domestic flight from Hanoi to Da Nang. Upon arrival, take a 30-minute drive to Hoi An, the ancient town known for its lantern-lit streets and rich cultural heritage. • Evening: Explore Hoi An’s charming Old Town. Optionally, join a cooking class and learn to make Vietnamese dishes from scratch. • Afternoon: Head to An Bang Beach for some relaxation by the sea or explore the countryside with a basket boat ride through the coconut palm forests. • Evening: Return to Hoi An for a peaceful evening stroll along the Thu Bon River, and enjoy a lantern-lit boat ride.
Day 5: Da Nang & Departure • Morning: Visit Da Nang’s Marble Mountains, a cluster of five marble and limestone hills with stunning caves, temples, and panoramic views. • Afternoon: If time allows, explore Ba Na Hills, home to the famous Golden Bridge. You can take the cable car up and enjoy the cool mountain air and scenic views. • Evening: Depending on your flight time, enjoy some last-minute shopping or relaxation before heading to the airport for your departure.
