The Dream

It is a sunny day and she woke up listening to the birds chirping. The funny thing about Australian birds is that once they are up, it’s tough for a human to sleep. “They don’t have a very soothing voice, do they?” she thought. She has not been sleeping too well for the past few days. Something different is happening to her. She is consumed with the thought of putting her word out into the world. She wants to make a difference. She does not know yet what the word “difference” means. When she was a teenager, she wanted world peace, which then evolved to the need to protect her own. She was not sure any more. But the intention, a strong one, was still there. Somewhere in her heart, a fire burned; it was ablaze and waiting to consume. She had lots to say to the world, lots of things she wanted to share, lots of stories and testimonies, but she usually finds it tough to speak the words. Writing is a different ball game altogether. She has a lot to write, and when she prays to the Holy Spirit, the words just flow.
For a long time, since she was a 6-year-old and her school homework required her to write a short article, people had told her that she was a great storyteller. Through the years, her life went through ups and downs and some big struggles and every time all that came to her mind was “I wish I could write it all down” — she had the urge. She just did not know it, or rather, she did not want to accept it. One day, she told a friend that she wanted to be a writer, and the friend said, “Then write”!
So here she is, writing her life story — A reflection of her journey of life so far and the hand of God in her life. Her intention in life is to reach out to people and express her testimonies and experiences in God, and even if her writing can bring one person close to God, her purpose is done.
She hopes that the stories, memoirs, and testimonies that she shares is read by individuals and it helps provide hope, assurance and warmth to those who need it at the moment and she knows — Anything is possible in God!
